MZU is pleased to announce its Winter 2022 Build-It-Yourself League!
League format is 6-on-6 speedpoint. Games are at the Techniplex on Monday nights, February 28th to May 16th, and will be 55 minutes long starting at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm.
Teams will get 9 weeks of regular play + 3 weeks of playoffs. The league has room for 24 teams. If more teams express interest a lottery will be held.
Cost is ~ $1075 + the applicable individual UNL fees.
Captains are invited to express interest by midnight, February 20th using this form.

MZU is excited to announce details of its 2022 Winter Toque League! Please read through all of the details to determine which division you would like to register for!
League Dates: Monday nights, from January 10 2022 to February 28, 2022 at the Techniplex
Registration Dates: Opens Thursday December 16th at 5pm and closes Wednesday January 5th at 11:59pm.
Players are allowed to register for 2 divisions (if they wish). Players cannot register for both 4v4 divisions, as those play at the same time.
6v6 Recreational Division (ages 18+, must be 18 by December 31, 2022)
4v4 Competitive Division (ages 18+, must be 18 by December 31, 2022)
4v4 Masters Division (Male Matching 33+, Female Matching 30+, must be by December 31, 2022)

Board members are a key part of shaping and executing the work of Mile Zero Ultimate. As a member of the Board of Directors you can bring forward your ideas to improve the league and take action to see them through.

What’s the time commitment? Board members serve a one-year term starting in November. The full board meets approximately 6 times per year, and sub-committees may have one to two additional meetings. Since 2020, all meetings have been virtual. In addition to meetings, board members undertake various duties to ensure smooth running of MZU. The busiest times for the board are just before the start of different leagues.
Who should apply? People with a passion for making their ultimate community a better place. Players of all skill levels and with diverse expertise and lived experiences are welcome. Eligible nominees must have played in an MZU league in the past 18 months.
How does it work? Individuals can self-nominate or nominate a friend or teammate by completing the online form or by self/nominating in person at the AGM.
When is this happening? The AGM and the election of new board members takes place on November 25th at 7:30pm at the Quidi Vidi Taproom, 35 Barrows Road (Quidi Vidi Village).

The Government of NL Proof of Vaccination requirement will come into effect this Friday October 22, 2021 and applies to indoor Ultimate at Techniplex.
Going forward, Techniplex staff will be checking players’ vaccine passports (or other eligible forms of proof) and photo IDs (or two non-photo IDs with one showing DOB) as people enter the building. MZU players who do not have proof of vaccination will not be permitted to enter.

Techniplex also reminds patrons of continuing COVID-19 requirements:
• You will not be permitted to enter until 5 minutes before your rental time.
• Use designated field entrances and exits.
• Masks are mandatory in the building at all times when you are not on your playing field.
• Please do not socialize in the lobby or on the field. Leave immediately following your game.
• Change rooms are not currently available.
• Spectators are not permitted in the building.
Please also remember these COVID-19 guidelines from MZU:
• Complete the online assessment: https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/life-during-covid-19/screening/; stay home if you’re unwell.
• Maintain 2m space when marking the disc, and as much as possible during play and on sidelines.
• No contact such as high fives and no sharing equipment.
• Wrap up spirit circles and leave without delay.
