The Newfoundland and Labrador Ultimate Association is the governing body for the
sport of ultimate in Newfoundland and Labrador.
It was founded in the spring of 2004 with the goal of organizing, promoting, and
growing the sport of ultimate in the province.
The NLUA is an not-for-profit incorporated body governed by a seven-member board of directors.
Board members and officers are elected at our annual general meeting. Anyone can run
for a position on the board. Stay tuned to the news section or the
mailing list to find out about the next AGM.

Robyn Auld
Outgoing President
Ms. Auld played Ultimate in her home town of Ottawa for two years before moving to St. John's to begin graduate work at MUN. She took up Ultimate in here immediately upon her arrival and, through hard work, dedication, deceit, intimidation and treats of violence, quickly rose to the presidency of the NLUA. This Scarface-like rise to power is even more noteworthy when one considers that it was all achieved before her 26th birthday. Although Robyn hopes to one day follow in the famous biologist footsteps of David Susuki, she finds that her studies interfere with the time she must dedicate to the NLUA if she is to maintain her tight stranglehold on the league and its board of directors.

Stef is an Ultimate player of great intensity and an extreme competitiveness. Being born on sweethearts’ day (14th of Feb) has given this quite boy from the sunny shores of Grand Bank a big heart who may be willing “to be yours”. That is, unless you are the opposition. Stef started throwing the disc some four years ago and he has come a long way. Ask Aiden, who was beaned right between the two eyes on Stefs very fist Ultimate throw. Stef can usually be found prowling the streets of the downtown area checking out the hottest new band or just hanging at CBTG’s, which is not a path that will allow him to achieve his greatest ambition – “To be debt free”.

Steven Watt

LUST......GREED......DEBAUCHARY......MALICE.......none of these words,
have anything to do with Steven Watt. What we can tell you about Steven, is that dude gets around.
Seriously. He has lived in Moncton, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City,
before settling down in St. John's for the last two years to get his
Disc on. He is so good with numbers, that he can recite the value of
pi to the 10th digit, making him invaluable as the new Mile Zero
treasurer. Conversely, he is so good at eating pie with all 10 digits,
that he can be far from invaluable to his team, dropping discs due to
"Post-Peach Pie Projectile Panicking", or P5. Please, help Steven to
eliminate P5 in our lifetime, so that he can become a whole man again. |

Nora Trask

Just look at that smile! Ahhh! That's what her parents thought way back in '81 when Nora Trask emerged from the womb singing the Chiquata Banana song. Her love of music has continued to this day, but now has a new hobby hot on its heels - Ultimate frisbee. A self-proclaimed "good, but not great" Ultimate player, Nora has been playing Ultimate for five years now and in the league for two full seasons. In fact, a great conflict exists in her life as a result of Ultimate. Being one half of Team Intimidation doesn't allow for a lot of time in her ultimate goal of teaching the world to sing.

Chris Fox

Mr. Fox was born and raised in Sin City. After studying the nature or the Force, as well as Biology, at MUN, Chris joined the Dark Side and ventured to a galaxy far, far away to obtain an Evil Law Degree (analogous to the Evil Medical Degree Dr. Evil obtained at Evil Medical School). Thereafter, Mr. Fox returned home to begin his sinister law practice. After a short lived redemption to the light side, where he temporarily left the practice of law, Chris returned to the Empire and began working as a solicitor for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. However, all is not lost for Chris. With the help of Hockey, Ultimate and his band, UMLAUT, he may once again return to the Light Side and forsake his diabolical lawyerly ways.
